MACROLANE™

Main
Frequently Asked Questions

The Macrolane™ treatment is performed under local anaesthetic and involves injecting a semi-permanent compound just under the skin to gently augment the body and breast.

For example:

  • Ladies looking to increase a single cup size from either A to B or B to C.
  • Ladies wanting to restore their breasts original shape and volume post pregnancy and breast feeding.
  • Men or women who want to shape or add volume to their buttocks
  • Men who want to enhance their pectorals.

Advantages over conventional breast and body augmentation solutions:

  • Instant results
  • Performed under local anaesthetic
  • No significant downtime
  • No scarring
  • Does not interfere with Mammograms

Candidates that are ideal for the Macrolane™ procedure are those looking to achieve a marked but subtle increase in breast and buttock size.

During this procedure it is possible to review the augmentation process and adjust the amount being injected, ensuring results are both symmetrical and to the clients satisfaction. This cannot be done during traditional surgery.

To maintain the initial results Macrolane™ needs to be topped up every 12-18 months with about half the initial injected quantity. Research indicates that like the other dermal fillers we offer, the presence of compound actually induces the body to produce its own collagen so at repeat treatments less and less product is needed. It is expected that after a few treatments many clients will reach a point where no further top up’s are necessary.
